When should I arrive at the event?

Ans: We encourage all our speakers to be present from the beginning of the conference. Many of our delegates may have seen your name in our scientific program and would like to meet you. We recommend that you arrive at least an hour before the start of the event, which is at 1:00 p.m. on April 19th. Please also consider the transfer from Sofia Airport, which takes about 90 minutes. This will allow you to start smoothly and review your slides with our audio-visual technician.

When and to whom should I give my presentation?

Ans: We recommend that you send the final version of your presentation in advance to the contact email of the organizers until March 30, or physically hand it over at the venue at the latest during the break before it is the turn of your presentation to our AV technician who is located in the conference room. Please remember that the requested format for the presentation is PPT 16:9

What is the dress code?

Ans: Pack your comfortable clothes for the event – the dress code at all our events is business/casual. Speakers often choose smart business attire, but we leave it to the individual to decide. However, we are in the mountain, in case you wish to take a fresh air outside and to walk, you will need sneakers and light jacket. Don’t forget your sunglasses too.

What should I do if I am delayed on the day?

Ans: If you are delayed to the workshop, please contact someone from organizing committee as soon as possible.

What if I need to cancel?

Ans: If you would like to cancel your commitment to speak at 40th Varady workshop, we kindly request you to provide a replacement speaker who can speak on the same/relevant topic with prior intimation.

How much does it cost for registration?

Ans: There are number of different registration packages available depending on the period. For details on these packages, please visit the registration section of our conference website.

Do I have to register in advance or can I register on spot?

Ans: We strongly emphasize to register in advance rather spot registration due to the risk of capacity being exhausted. Within walking distance, there are no many suitable accommodation options, and the capacity of the halls is limited.

How can I pay my registration fee?

Ans: We strongly recommend that you make payments in advance and by bank transfer – both for accommodation and additional services and the registration fee. On spot is also possible to pay registration fee and additional services.

How to reserve a closing dinner?

The information is listed as Social Activities – under the Accommodation tab because you can book it directly with your Rila Hotel accommodation reservation. Please note that you can book also in additional lunch and dinner on 19.04 depending on your flight details, if needed.
